Dr. Vijaya Yarramuthi obtained M.Sc. (2003), M.Phil. (2006) and Ph.D. (2009) in Chemistry from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India. Visiting Researcher at Research centre for Soil & Water Resources and Natural Disaster Prevention, National Yunlin University of Science & Technology, Taiwan (2019). Dr. Vijaya presently working as Associate Professor and Head in the Department of Chemistry, Vikrama Simhapuri University, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, India. She has 14 years of teaching experience. 4 Ph.Ds degrees are awarded under her guidance. Her research interests are Adsorption Process in Water Treatment (Removal of metals, phenols, dyes and fluorides) and Design and synthesis of natural and synthetic adsorbents for water treatment. She has completed one minor Research Project from FRGS. Dr. Vijaya published over 30 research papers in International and National Journals with good impact factor and total citation index of 1916, h- index of 14, i-10 index of 16 in various top tired journals including Carbohydrate Polymer Journal, Bioresource Technology and Chemical Engineering Journal etc. Carbohydrate Polymer Journal ranked one of the top 10 cited articles in the Elsevier Group. She received International Women Scientist Award from INRC in the year 2023.
