 The Department of Food Technology would focus on the methods and techniques that are involved in food production, processing, preservation, packaging, labeling, quality management, and distribution that extensively support the rapid industrialization and commercialization of Indian Agri-Food Products. Department also focuses on the new food product development and product innovations that support the needs and requirements of the Indian food manufacturing sector. Also, The Food Technology Department in the university is planning to set MoU with local food manufacturers and exporters to initiate better real-time In-Plant training activities and induction programs for the students.

VISION

To provide affordable quality education in the field of food technology by globally recognized learning curricula there by guide the students towards the path of self-sustainability and entrepreneurship.

MISSION

  •  To apply the principles of food science in preservation, processing and packaging for the quality and safety of food products.
  •  To understand the problems in the food industry through the consecutive acquisition of knowledge and research for the improvement of the safety and quality in the food production sector.
  •  To enable the students to get engaged and lifelong learning and become capable to startup their own business in the field of food technology.
