Computerisation and Networking Administration

A computer center at a university generally serves as a central facility providing various computing and IT services to students, faculty, and staff. Its main functions include:

  1. Access to Computers and Internet: The center provides computers equipped with necessary software and hardware for students and faculty to perform academic tasks, research, and projects.
  2. Technical Support: The center often offers technical assistance for issues related to software, hardware, and network connectivity.
  3. Printing and Scanning: Many computer centers provide printing, scanning, and photocopying services for students and faculty members.
  4. Workshops and Training: Some centers offer workshops, seminars, and training sessions to improve technical skills, such as learning programming languages, software tools, or other tech-related topics.
  5. Research and Development Support: The center may provide access to high-performance computing resources and software to support research and development activities.
  6. Wi-Fi Access: It may also manage Wi-Fi networks across the campus to ensure students and staff can connect to the internet wirelessly.
