Best performed 10 students of the department achieved Prathiba awards presented by A P State Government. Many students have secured jobs in public as well as private sector. A good number of students are qualified NET/SET and settled as lecturers at PG and Degree colleges, junior colleges and as school teachers. Few students chosen politics as carrier and now actively participating as elected representatives in Rural and Urban Local bodies of AP. The students of the department very actively participate in various community developmental activities and work against social evils/problems and in developmental programmes such as Swachcha Bharat Programmes, Blood donation camps, Clean and Green, Unnat Bharath Abhiyan and NSS Programmes etc.
